Winter Flounder Tournament I.F.A.R.T. 5/9/2015

Capt Rich, Big Rich, Uncle Pete , Big-T "from Auto Dynamix Lakewood NJ" , Capt. Dave Eldridge ,  Big Ariel and  Tommy Richardson  rounded out the  crew.  The Guys were participating  in  VFW 4715  I.F.A.R.T. "Invitational  Flounder Anglers River Tournament ".  Morning started out with a shopping spree at Jersey Hooker Outfitters  2016 Route 88 Brick New Jersey 08724   732-903-6904. Then the  guys headed over to the  VFW Mens AUXILIARY  603 ST. Louis ave   Point Pleasant Beach  NJ. For the captains meeting and breakfast.  The crew did not have  high expectations for the tournament, The water temp has been on the rise and  not many  flounder reports  coming in over the past week...   Big Ariel  First fish in within  minuets of  coming tight on the  anchor  boosted everyones morale...    The  excitement was short lived  the fish was a short and  they did not get another bite on the first drop.  Capt.  Rich moved   down the  river to The  Dog Beach .  Capt Rich put the  first keeper in the boat,  but 1 " shy  to meet the  tournaments  14" minimum length. The crew had a  few flurries of shorts  then Big-T   hooked into a contender  15 1/2"  flounder came over the rail ...    Guys had a couple more   flurries   Big-T being high hooked for the  day....  On Behalf of Captain Rich and Crew we like to thank  VFW post 4715 for putting on this wonderful tournament  with a great breakfast and wonderful picnic afterwards.
